Had to install do freeclm install twice in safe mode. I’ve had a look at the filenames, and they seem to be correct ie they really are a newer version of the correct driver. Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit: I actually used the XP drivers and installed in safe mode with driver signing turned off.

The trick was to install the correct drivers offline, go online, wait for the broken drivers to install, then hit the Roll Back Driver button. I wil keep coming back for sure. I just had to disconnect my internet connection, uninstall and delete the broken drivers, and then scan for new hardware. Media Center didn’t go well, but with DVDs not playing though there and being fine with Media Player dvh-t cyberlink it seems to all go back to the video drivers being incompatible with Media Center rather than the Freecom device itself.
Not checked DVDs again just yet.
