I have found that ka69gm people forget the 4 power connector to the mobo whenever I have plugged in the 24 pin connector but leave out the 4 pin Jhhnn Ars Legatus Legionis Registered: After reviewing the GA-MA69GM-S2H manual, I identified my rookie mistake, installed my original CPU and heatsink fan into my original system board, added memory, mounted the board in the case, stretched out the coiled-up power switch connector and connected it to the correct jumper pair in the front panel header, connected power and fans, then crossed my fingers.

Try removing the power ,a69gm connector and using a screwdriver to briefly short the pins together.

At this point, my haphazard troubleshooting has led me to conclude that there is most likely an issue with the CPU, which may have happened when I originally installed it or when I bent the pins during transplantation to the second motherboard. One of the things that I love most about technology is that there are few other endeavors where you can experience elation at resolving an issue simultaneously with total embarrassment for not having figured it out sooner.

Gigabyte did a good job placing things on the board. I do agree that system boards belong in cases instead of sitting out exposed even on an ESD matbut as you indicated, I wanted to see if the standoffs were causing a short, and it was the safest way that I had available to test this angle.
